Crystal Star Oracle InterpretationTough financial times can take a big bite out of our sense of freedom. Things we may have become accustomed to doing, like eating out, visiting the cinema frequently or enjoying hundreds of channels and pay per view on our TV’s, are often the first things we have to let go of when it is time to tighten the budget. But for some the economic downturn has meant more than just giving up some comforts, it means the loss of a job, maybe the family car or even the family home.
According to the Crystal Star Oracle for August we should all be looking at how we can do something positive to help each other. The cards indicate that we should be using our abilities to communicate and cooperate in unity in order to fulfill our responsibility to family, friends and community. This is especially important when so many people are struggling to stay afloat through rough financial times.
During the Great Depression extended families gathered together under one roof in order to support the health and wellbeing of the whole group. Neighbors helped neighbors, bartering food for services and helping to keep each other’s properties in good repair, in a very similar way that early settlers across the country helped each other to survive in wild and sometimes hostile environments. During WWII people got together to grow little victory gardens to help keep them going during times of heavy wartime rationing.
Nowadays individuals are banding together in community organizations and church groups to help displaced families find temporary housing, much like people did after Hurricane Katrina. Some offer rides to job interviews, loan out cars, or help provide bus and train passes for travel to and from jobs, something very difficult to do when you have lost your car and have little or no money. Many families are starting to take advantage of porch, backyard and community gardens to keep some healthy veggies on the table, and then trade with each other for variety.
There are so many ways to help each other during economic downturns. It only requires some imagination and cooperation, and the result is that we all benefit. The colors and stones for August will be there to help you find your way in making things better for yourself and others who are struggling to keep a roof overhead and food on the table.The Color Therapy Card is Green, which is a card of unconditional love, inner healing and self-love. So now is the time to use Green energy to boost your love of self and others as you focus your mind towards the common good. Bring some Green into your wardrobe and your home environment. Maybe a green tablecloth would be great, or you could place some new green plants on the porch this month. Toss a green scarf over a lampshade or put in a green bulb. Utilizing green energy will help you to let go of your attachment to old behaviors and old hurts, enabling you to view just about every situation from a standpoint of unconditional love. Green will heal your heart and help you maintain a positive frame of mind.
Locate a piece of Fluorite to help you keep track of everything this month. Fluorite is an amazing translucent stone that can be blue, green, purple, yellow, clear or in stripes of any combination of these. It is truly beautiful and reflects the beauty and perfection each of us carries within. Put a piece of fluorite on your desk at work and it will improve your concentration and clarity. Sleep with a piece under your pillow and you will sort through issues during your dreamtime to bring more order and harmony to your waking hours. Fluorite will bring you the gift of discernment this month and will assist you in being free from illusions as you participate in cooperative endeavors with others.
The luminescence and blue flash of creamy white Moonstone are reminiscent of moonbeams, which is how Moonstone got its name. Wearing a piece of Moonstone jewelry, like a necklace or ring, is an excellent way to make sure you carry Moonstone energy with you wherever you go. Holding and stroking your Moonstone will activate your intuition and generate psychic attunement to help you with any situation that should arise this month. Moonstone is also a stone of rebirth and can help you as you find new ways to interact with those around you. Snowflake Obsidian is a beautiful shiny black stone with white splotches resembling snowflakes, hence the name. Snowflake Obsidian is a very powerful and protective stone.
